We are gearing up for the end of this year and I must say it has been quite a ride. Lets see if I can summarize it for you guys in a few words… we have had endless hours of meetings and shoots, worked with some fabulous talents and brands, travelled to some exquisite parts of the world, tasted Israeli fashion during Tel Aviv Fashion week and… well I got engaged. Obviously that last one brings with it the biggest change to come for both SU and I… a new home, a new life, a new name, a new routine.. But MISU will always be MISU and that will never change.
You guys may not know this about me but I am not the biggest fan of change, unless it’s a fashion related change in which case I am as curious as a kitten. SU on the other hand is a lot more adaptive in general and has been appointed my mentor during this nerve-racking transition. I am ofcourse using the term “mentor” quite loosely because when I seem to start panicking she basically tells me to grow a pair (It does the trick so I am not complaining).
There is one change though which I embrace with open arms and that is the change from ghastly humid summer into a lovely Bombay winter. Again, I am using the term “winter” quite loosely because we just get a tiny nip in the air and less frizz in the hair betweenNovember to February. It also means we can wear the chic jackets and sweaters we keep hoarding for this time of year.
We absolutely love printed jackets this season, no matter whether you are a long trench kind of gal or a cropped jacket style lover- both styles are very on point this season. We put together both these looks from VERO MODA to show you how to dress up two kinds of jackets.
I am wearing a printed monochrome, semi- cropped jacket with a pop of red along the collar. I am totally digging them with these black sliced up jeans and tee combination. Heels, smokey eyes and big hair will dress up any look (that is the secret) but you could even throw on some cute white kicks and make this a casual look. I accessorized with a geometric print monochrome clutch, turquoise & black necklace and nude lips to finish the look off.
SU went with the trench style, printed monochrome jacket that she paired with olive green skinny jeans and strappy brown heels. She wore the jacket over a sheer black top and necklace. The cat eye and bold brows finish off her look but you can play with makeup and opt for a plum or red lip even depending on mood or occasion.
As we wait enthusiastically for the temperature to drop, we take a moment to look backwards and give thanks for all the amazing opportunities we have had and the tremendous love and support we get pouring in from you all every day. It truly is a labor of love and we have worked tirelessly to keep improving.
We are on the brink of some big moves, which we are super excited to reveal to you guys but all in good time so stay tuned and stay stylish.
